I’ve known Barry for over 50 years. We were friends at school – he had an interest in music and I an interest in amplifiers and electronics. We became friends straight away and the school recording studio and the drama dept. was where we spent a LOT of school time. After school I taught Barry to drive, which led onto fixing and modifying cars – usually at his dads garage in Sutton where he lived. Time moved on and for a period both of our jobs were in Waterloo and we would meet up for ‘lunch’ in a local pub with some of his Post Office mates ( lunch could be quite a long affair lol.)  We stayed in touch and he would often ‘phone me when his BT job took him around the UK. .

Barry was immensely proud of his children and latterly his grandchildren .

A truly family man and I will miss him.
